BYRON JAMES

He was born in East Cleveland Ohio and the oldest of two. His father James Richardson owns his own accounting firm & his mother Karen Richardson is an auditor for the US Treasury. When he was 12 his parents separated. He moved out to Richmond Calinfornia where he would attend Pinole Valley High School lettering in Football & Track. Byron also was a Culver Naval Academy student for six consecutive summers of his youth. He took classes at Diablo Valley community college after graduating High School Were he excelled at Football & became a one of the top recruits in the nation for his play. Prior to accepting a scholarship to transfer he discovered acting.

 

Byron did most of his studies under the Legendary acting coach Shelley Mitchell. He would continue to develope his craft with the Beverly Hills Playhouse and at the comedy institution Upright Citezens Brigade. He has done numerous Stage productions modern and contemporary, such as Fences, Six Degrees of Separation, Romeo and Juliet, and Othello to name a few.

 

Through his art he only seeks the truth, and wishes to interpret that verity objectively to the audience. Professionally Byron has been seen in countless national comercials for some of the top companies. He has appeared numerous times on film and in television. He can be seen in the award winning, critically aclaimed film 'Redemption Trail' along side Lily Rabe and Lisa Gay Hamilton. On televison he has been praised for his work for his portrayal of Soloman Northup in the History channel's 'Journey To Freedom'.
